(Find more info on germinating seeds by going to our seed guide)

To germinate: The seeds are tiny, so you’ll want to sprinkle them on a small sheet of paper. Prepare a mix of peat moss and perlite, moisten it up so that it’s very moist, never soggy, then sprinkle the seeds as evenly as possible on the surface. You can plant these seeds quite densely, up to 20-30 per small nursery planter. Try to keep any two seeds from being too close together.

Mist the substrate(with distilled water) after sprinkling the seeds, then cover with plastic in the form of a ziploc bag or a greenhouse dome. Place the container in a tray of water so that the bottom 0.5in is in water. Keep the temperature between 68-77F. Keep brightly lit but out of direct sunlight, such as by a bright windowsill out of the way of direct rays of sun, or under a grow light.

Germination can take up to a month. Once the majority of the seeds have germinated, you can start uncovering the container for increasing increments of time. You can completely remove the cover once the plants get their first 2 leaves.

Ensure the substrate always remain moist, and keep the plants out of direct sun. You can repot them once they grow to about 0.7-1in wide.
