Plant your seeds right away, Monstera seeds do not store well, they can stay in their packet in a fridge for 2-3 weeks, but their viability decreases considerably the longer they're stored.

We recommend using the following to sow the seeds:

Monstera deliciosa seeds do not store well, so if not planting right away, store in sphagnum moss in a baggie in the fridge to prevent rot and drying out. Germinating fresh seeds is easy and quick, and germination rates vary from 50%-100% depending on setup and freshness of the seeds.

first two seeds popping after 2 weeks in 3" dome planters on heat mats

The germination rate was 10%

Only one out of 10 seeds germinated and I used heated blanket with temp monitor which kept the soil at 80 degrees, grow light and the green house set up and soil from plantflix :((

I'm still waiting on the results, rooting for a home run 💪🙌🪴

So far, it's been nearly a month and I have 5 sprouts. Considering how these seeds really need to be fresh, it is clear that great effort was put into preparing them for consumers. I'm very pleased and hope for more of them to germinate

how difficult are these seeds to grow?

Houseplant seeds are generally trickier to grow than your more common garden seed varieties- they require a specific setup and more time to sprout. You can find the difficulty for each seed variety specified under the "about the seeds" tab on each product page.
